Finished software, ready for a new owner.

Five live, privacy-first web apps, each taken from idea to production by one engineer. They are not experiments: they have real users, real domains and a settled design. Swiss made in Zug, to the standard of the banking systems I build by day. Each is available for acquisition or licensing, with source, brand and a documented handover. Alongside them, one that is not for sale: AssetCare, a live Java, Angular and Kubernetes reference application built to the same standard. The newest build is BlitzMath, a live maths game for classrooms and families.

Reference application · source on request

AssetCare: a production-grade full-stack asset management reference application.

A different kind of evidence from the five apps above. AssetCare is not for sale and has a backend by design: a complete Java 25, Spring Boot 4.1 and Angular 22 application with Keycloak identity, PostgreSQL and object storage, containerised, secured and deployed on Kubernetes with Helm, Terraform and a Let's Encrypt certificate, live at assetcare.janaka.me. Source on request, built with AI-assisted engineering, and documented down to what was and was not executed.

AssetCare

assetcare.janaka.me · asset and maintenance management

Live

People own assets, assets need maintenance on a schedule, and someone has to prove what was done and when. Dashboard with due work, assets with URL-held search and filters, edit with conflict detection, maintenance planning and service history, attachments with preview, an audit trail of every write, three roles, dark mode, phone layout, a command menu.

Fits: a team that wants a proven starting point for a Spring and Angular system, or an engineering manager who wants to see the whole production path executed rather than described.

BlitzMath: live maths battles for classrooms and families.

The newest product, and the first with a real-time backend. A teacher or parent hosts a game on the big screen, children join with a six-digit code on their own device, and everyone answers the same questions at the same time. Live at bm.janaka.me, free to play, and not part of the catalogue below.

BlitzMath

bm.janaka.me · live maths game for classes and families

Live

The players are children, so the rules are calm on purpose. Only right answers score and speed never adds points. A child sees the top three and their own result, never who came last. There are no accounts, no ads and no chat.

Fits: a teacher who wants a whole class answering at once, a family around one table, or a child practising alone for the Gymnasium entrance exam.

  • Class games for up to 60 players with code and QR, teams, pause and skip, results and CSV export. Friend battles for up to eight. Solo practice that adapts the level, with a daily challenge.
  • Eight topics at five levels, plus 17 skills at the level of the Swiss Gymnasium entrance exam after 6th class and 18 skills for the Short Gymnasium after Sek. Answers are tapped, or written on the app's own number pad.
  • English, German, French and Italian. Installs as an app, and solo practice works without a network.
  • A break for tired heads: three small cooperative games that light one shared night sky. No points, no ranking, and it ends by itself.

MP3 Alarm Clock

github.com/Janaka2/mp3-alarm-clock · desktop app, free and open source

Also new, and free. A desktop alarm clock that plays an MP3 or your own recorded voice at a set time, keeps the computer awake and wakes it from sleep when the alarm is due. Family schedules play a recorded message per event on the speaker in the right room, and a phone remote on the home Wi-Fi stops, skips and records. One Python file for macOS, Windows and Linux, under the MIT licence.

Catalogue

Five products. Pick the one that fits your portfolio.

Every product here shares one architecture decision: the user's records stay on the user's device, or in cloud storage the user already owns. That is why there is nothing to host, no credential store to protect and no analytics pipeline to maintain.

nüchtern

nuechtern.app · fasting companion

Live

A fasting companion that keeps the biology visible. A live metabolic-phase timer says what the body is actually doing at hour 14, and the hydration and electrolyte guidance most trackers leave out is built in.

Fits: a health, nutrition or wellness brand wanting a finished, German-first fasting product without building or hosting one.

  • Metabolic-phase timer, hydration and electrolyte log, weight trend, streaks and milestones.
  • Installs to the home screen and runs fully offline. No account, no ads, no analytics.
  • Written for the German-speaking market, in German and English.

Daily Momentum

daily-momentum.com · time tracking

Live

A quiet record of where the day went. One tap says what you are doing; there is no start button and no stop button, because starting one thing is what ends the last one. Everything else is derived from that.

Fits: a productivity, coaching or freelancer-tools brand that wants a time tracker people keep using because it asks almost nothing of them.

  • The day as a single strip, the week against the week before, patterns drawn only from what was recorded.
  • A forgotten afternoon comes back later as a question rather than a hole; entries can be moved, split, merged or relabelled.
  • No account, no server, no upload. Export to a backup file or a spreadsheet at any time.

Loop

loop.janaka.me · recurring activities

Live

A memory for the things that repeat: watering, birthdays, filters, bills. Give an activity a schedule, or simply note when it happened and let the app find the rhythm from what you actually did. The history can suggest a cadence; you decide whether to follow it.

Fits: a home, family or personal-organisation brand looking for a reminder product that learns instead of nags.

  • Five quiet categories, each activity with an attention state, a predicted next occurrence and photos.
  • One daily digest instead of a stream of alerts, with quiet hours it keeps to.
  • Data on the device, or by choice in the user's own Google Drive; portable backup, CSV export, recovery snapshots and a 30-day trash.

BabyLoop

babyloop.janaka.me · baby & toddler care log

Live

Keep the little moments, without keeping your phone in your hand. Two taps record a feed, a nap, a temperature or a first smile, and the day assembles itself into a summary a tired parent can actually read.

Fits: a parenting, paediatric or family-services brand that wants a care log parents trust precisely because their child's data never reaches anyone else's servers.

  • Activities the parent defines: instant events, timers, measurements, quantities, ratings, with photos and notes.
  • A daily summary and a shareable PDF for the paediatrician, the grandparents or a second caregiver.
  • No accounts, no servers, no analytics. Records stay on the device, or in the family's own Google Drive to share across phones.

LeftHere

here.janaka.me · remember where you left it

Live

Take a photo. It remembers where. The car in a five-storey garage, the keys, the bag, the bench with the good view: one photo saves the spot, and the map walks you back to it.

Fits: a mobility, travel, parking or everyday-utility brand that wants a memory aid people keep because it asks for nothing but a photo.

  • Things move with every new photo and keep their history; places are permanent favourites. Search by name, category, note or town.
  • A map with markers, distance and turn-by-turn hand-off to navigation; "Near me" for what is close right now.
  • Location is read only when you take a photo or open "Near me", never in the background. Town names via OpenStreetMap are optional; with that off, coordinates stay on the device.

Swiss made

Swiss made. High quality by habit, not by label.

Every product here was engineered in Zug by someone whose day job is software that banks and regulators audit. The same habits carried over, because they are habits.

Precision

Nothing ships unexplained.

Every line is reviewed by hand before release. Data models are explicit, edge cases are handled where they occur, and the code reads the way a maintainer would want it to.

Reliability

Built to run for years.

No servers to fail, no third-party service to be discontinued, no framework to fall out of support. Plain web technology, kept deliberately boring where it should be.

Discretion

Privacy in the Swiss tradition.

Records stay with the person they belong to. No accounts, no tracking, no data leaving the device unless the user chooses their own cloud storage. Compliance is a consequence of the design, not a document.

What you get

Built to be owned, not just used.

These were designed from the first commit to be handed over. Nothing depends on my accounts, my servers or my continued involvement.

Source and history

The complete repository with its commit history, transferred to your organisation. Plain web technology any developer can read and maintain.

Brand and copy

Name, icon set, visual identity and all interface copy, in German and English where the product has both.

Domain and hosting

Static files that run on any host, at no running cost. Registered domains transfer with the product; subdomain products move to a domain of your choice.

Documented handover

Architecture notes, the data model, build and deploy steps, and a walkthrough with me so your team starts from understanding rather than archaeology.

Why privacy by construction matters to a buyer

  • No hosting bill and no on-call. There is no backend to scale, patch or wake up for.
  • No data liability. Nothing personal is stored on your side, which keeps GDPR and Swiss data-protection exposure minimal.
  • No app-store gatekeeping. Progressive web apps install on iOS and Android from a link, and ship updates with a deploy.
  • No framework lock-in. Plain web technology means no upgrade treadmill and a wide hiring pool.

How they were built

Each product was specified, designed, built, written and deployed by one person, with large language models used deliberately at each step and every line reviewed by hand. The same discipline I bring to regulated banking systems applies here: move fast with the model, then hold the result to the standard the domain demands.

How I work with AI →  ·  About the engineer →

From experiment to product

Where these products come from.

Nothing here was a first attempt. The patterns were tried in the Lab, written down on the AI page, and only then trusted with a product.

Process

How a handover works.

Conversation

Email me which product interests you and what you intend to do with it. I reply within a few days with usage facts and answers.

Walkthrough

A live demo and a read of the source together, so you can judge the quality before any commitment.

Terms

Acquisition transfers source, brand and domain outright. A licence lets you run the product under your brand while I keep ownership. Either is a written agreement.

Transfer

Repository transfer, DNS handover, the documentation package and a support window for your team's questions.

Questions

Before you write.

Can I see the source before deciding?

Yes. The walkthrough step is a read of the actual repository, not slides. For a deeper review before terms are agreed, access can be arranged under a simple confidentiality agreement.

Do the products have users?

All five are live and in use. Because none of them collects analytics, the usage picture comes from install and domain data rather than tracking, and I share it in conversation rather than publishing it.

What is the difference between acquisition and licence?

Acquisition means the product becomes yours: source, brand, domain and the right to take it in any direction. A licence means you operate it, typically under your own brand and domain, while ownership and the right to license to others stay with me.

Is there really no backend?

None. Each app runs entirely in the browser and stores records on the device. Loop, BabyLoop and LeftHere can optionally sync to the user's own Google Drive; that uses an OAuth client you register, so even then no data passes through anyone else's servers.

How much of this was built with AI?

All of it, and none of it unreviewed. Scope, code, copy and visual identity were produced with large language models in the loop, in tight generate-and-review cycles, and every line was read and understood before release. The workflow is described on the AI page; the experiments it grew out of are in the Lab.

Can I buy more than one?

Yes. Loop, BabyLoop and LeftHere share an architecture and pair naturally; nüchtern and Daily Momentum suit a wellness or productivity portfolio. Ask about a combined handover.

Which one fits your portfolio?

Tell me the product and your plans for it. Independent work, mine to pass on, ready for a new home.
